If you Fear Man, that is OPPRESSIVE and DEPRESSIVE...
If you fear THE GOVERNMENT... that ends in bondage and control...
If you fear God, He promises peace, wisdom, favor, blessing, and...

The fear of man is being worried about how you perform; what others think about you; and how you look to others by what you own.

Government we are supposed to submit to, according to Romans 13:3, is one that is NOT a "terror unto good works." Currently, our government is calling what is good, bad... and what is bad, good. Terror upon righteousness is rampant. So when does civil disobedience need to happen?

Fear of God doesn't mean we are supposed to be afraid of Him. On the contrary. To have a healthy, reverential "fear" of God is to do as He says because you know that He has your best interests in His heart. And then, He can bless you. A bad father reinforces bad behavior. How many times have each of us seen a parent give their child what they wanted, after they threw themselves down on the floor in public? A good Father doesn't reinforce bad behavior by blessing His children when they keep practicing things that will hurt themselves and which are against His will.
